politics in the world of art can appear in different (intended and unintended) ways: from the most epic involving the implication of an artistic movement with dynamic social and cultural processes, to more specific that some tangible or intangible aesthetic objects askew social relations or the aesthetic conventional, perhaps in relative solitude and with some indifference. The political potential of the movement or object can manifest in the present, but also a future in which the gesture enable experiences that are socially and culturally productive. The tester is an artistic and political gesture because it assumes and questions the market as a component of the art world. Draws attention to barriers, rather than economic, cultural, separating, in a specific space to social insects sympathy for potential or actual areas of contemporary art, an effective consumer is an experimental practice and policy, intervening in a fight for reconfiguration of a world concrete art, working on (and somehow constructing) a potential market of contemporary art. invited to make a sample in the cabinet of art and politics, it is obvious that a debate on the relationship between art and politics, the vision you have or can give "The Tester". The first thing I think as a member of it is that Argentina are in a society disillusioned of the great speeches, in decline for a thousand reasons, I believe that art as manifested not of much interest to most of society, the world policy, state or politicians who mostly stayed in a nostalgic evocation of work for several decades. It does not mean they understand or Quinquela Berni, because only buy social prestige art, art that can be put on a wall .... For them and for most of society, the artists "fucked", we make a little noise, we are a "crazy shit" ... and nothing else ... ... the system lets any artist now and then displayed on TV and say some bullshit to get the snob, this is the portion of art that people can eat ..... I'm thinking that within a few years many works of contemporary artists end up in the house of rich businessmen and those works will be witnesses to events noble historical rather ... ... well this works, "now" well or poorly marked an era, a way of thinking of the Buenos Aires society post 2001 crisis, and leave your message about your own relationship with power of that time, a relationship with thousands of twists and turns with their consistencies and inconsistencies. "Tester", a space is not this time invited by the gallery "Arcimboldo" to show his "collection" consists of the purchase or the exchange of work with other artists, we show that it is possible to have works by artists without spending large sums, the contemporary art market is very small, hopefully to be extended the circle that does not depend on the few collectors who are, so more artists can live from their true profession without resorting to tasks that move away from their true calling.
